IT'S NEARLY CHRISTMAS.

what else is notable.

i quit hmv, my last shift is tomorrow. it's the xmas meal tonight, also me/jimi/danny's leaving drinks. moooving oooon.

i've got some time off for xmas, this is excellent news. i also have slightly (ahem) more money than i did this time last year.

ross sacked off the old life and moved to east london. you know. where the fun is. we can play now.

i've been pottering about doing this'n'that. had flu like a bastard but it seems to have gone now. wicked.

looong time no lj. i'm not even gonna try and write down everything i've done. but here is a selection of general info/events....

- still working at jobcentre, still loving it
- still working at hmv, really need to chuck it in soon cus i'm knackered
- finished paying off all my debts. awesome
- saw the wasteman on and off. as always. off now....but maybe on soon? who knows
- turned 22. went to lots of gigs. had punky reggae party with kim
- moved out of living with the toblerone
- moved into living with kim & jon and a dude called simon
- now living in bethnal green....eaaast bladddd....it's good times
- joined the gym. i suck at it
- can't sleep and seem to have some kind of flu thing

everything else seems kind of small and insignificant now i look back on it
i need to sort my life out so even if i only update once every few months there's loads of interesting and rad stuff

arg, every time i see michael mcintyre standup, it just reminds me of one thing. which kind of sucks because he's funny.

aaaanyway it's been a while again. apologies to those of you who avidly follow my life. so, no-one. this is gonna have to be a whistle-stop tour of the last 7 weeks if i'm ever going to finish it. i'll doubtless miss shit out as my brain is shot to pieces. but you'll get the general idea.

been working my new job @ jcp. it's so rad, and the people are fun.

also been working @ hmv. so work 7 days a week. hectic.

dropping my hmv hours down to sundays from this weekend onwards. bonus.

went to the swimmer with laura et al, found out jacko was dead

went for vietnamese for pj's birthday. drank good cider and played in the park til the early hours

this has been my first couple of days off in weeks, and it's been very relaxing. back to the rat race tomorrow. bring on the rest of the summer.

ok i've been shit at updating so here's a shit bullet point post:

worked at enfield for a couple more weeks, got paid loads of money for ridiculous overtime

met up with hannah for the first time in FOREVER and had surreal hangouts at the crobar

went to oxford to drink and tit around with phil. drank a lot. titted a fair amount

blew off work to hang out in the sunshine with gaby, in their nice little gated community garden with the fat sunbathing man

went up to alexandra palace and sat on the hilltop drinking as the sunset with sibs. niiice

went to the cinema for the first time since x files with laura and adam, watched the new armando ianucci film. funny shit

did the zine symposium, ate fucking loads, actually bought some zines for once, and read some of them too! carried shit, saw so many good people

ross brought me round hash browns and we had a seriously nice day of cotch

saw youngblood brass band at cargo again and they were even more awesome than i remember

worked my week at canary wharf and had lots of fun with kicka who was messing around mostly, and jimi who is always messing around mostly

went to millsy & ash's first night at the gaff, hung around for about 5 minutes haha

went out for kicka's leaving drinks with work people. had loads of fun and good conversations. ryan got so shitfaced he ended up on all fours puking while john held the scruff of his neck haha

went to punk n bowl and drank LOADS of cheap beers and some sambucca. was so so hyperactive. fingerpointed my fingers off to chillerton. ran around in circles

went to pompey for a couple of days. saw chillerton and atom bomb and livers and lungs. drank so so so much free beer. ate noodles. listened to apologies and watched button moon. woke up in harri's bed not knowing where the hell i was

hung out with doggles and the rents. went for a curry with them. it was good vibes, not had such good times with them both for aaages

went to limited means first show at cross kings. they were wicked, jakal were awwwesome nd the other bands were rad too

went to alf's for hangouts with nachos. yum

went for about a million drinks with kelly and chatted shit....she knows all

got offered the dwp job and so turned down hmv. weird

had a massive chat with ross. think it's all kind of sorted now. i think he finally sees it. i gotta get on with tings. had wicked platonic hangouts with him after work....even if it did involve watching dirty world cinema

went to mike park/king blues/classics of love @ barfly. jesse michaels is a lot younger and fitter than i imagined. kbs were slow that was cool. mike park was awesome as ever. was too gutted to stay for all of classics set which i was gutted about

started at hoxton job centre today. doing a cushdy job. my line manager is the guy who was on the panel interviewing me who loved me. stoked. i have to go on about a bajillion training days but this looks like it could be pretty sweet......

monday i worked which was chill and i hung out stickering a lot in the stockroom. afterwards i went to brixton where morgan blagged me into the windmill gig and i saw livers and lungs and no other bands haha. got to hang with morg, kelly, fijjy and lexi among others. it was so awesome. lovely to see them and drink and just have lots of laughs. miss them all loads.

tuesday went to enfield and that. went to rach's house afterwards and we hung out and had so much to catch up on. she gave me lots of good news about her and lots of pity for me. i ate LOTS of junk food. saw the owner of v&m on the bus home, turns out he lives in finchley.

wednesday was tired at work and just wanted to go home. left early and went to central. stuffed it with shitloads more junk food, hotdog, burger and milkshake from new v&m. awesome. met sarah, timmy, alf, kim, kathers and tommy at ben crouch. had a couple pints. hung out hard.

thursday worked a nice short day then went to peking palace to meet tobin for his birthday meal. got to hang out with nic and tobe's mum which is always a pleasure. ate delicious food. came home and got my first reasonably early night of the week.

yesterday i went to work which was super chill cus wayne wasn't there. hung out loads. worked a bit. came home and was aggressive. had about 90 million people over for vince's birthday party, got drunk and had lots of fun. many a round of uno. fun with alf's camera. hangouts. seriously good hangouts.

went to cafe diana for breakfast this morning with a posse. came home and watched van wilder with tobe and his frenchies. went to the library which sucked a bit but got an interesting book. came home again and did a bit of tidying. alf came round with meerkat manor. SO CUTE.

was supposed to be at bridge & tunnel tonight but decided at super last minute i wasn't up for it. boooooo. money and tiredness. booooooooo.

i really am pushing it when it comes to money this month. i've got about £60 til payday, and £30 of that's going towards my bastard credit card next week. ow.

saturday i worked at canary then went to central and walked around for aaaages looking for some yummy food. wasn't entirely successful but got chatting to the owner of v&m who excited me a lot about food and gave me a free apple pie. then i went to streetlight at ulu. IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE.

sunday canary again, then went for a pint with kelly and ryan after.

monday worked like a proper canary. went to the pub with kelly and ross after and watched them eat. had a couple of pints. felt a bit empty

tuesday tried really hard to be good at work. ended up working 11am-11pm due to short notice refurbishment. me, ross and kelly were the only people who stayed to re-do the shop and kelly and the workmen left at about 10pm so i didn't have a chance really.

wednesday i got to enfield late and did 10-6.30. it was cool to be re-united with all the boys. i re-did the entire blu-ray section like a hardcore hmv motherfucker. was feeling well in-tune with track etc by this point. wanted to go to mouthwash @ the roxy in the evening but was toooo tired

sorted out my housing benefit on thursday and worked a late, which i was pretty grumpy for most of. went to jimi's clubnight at the macbeth after. kicka went too and i had the best pint of my life. was pretty cool

friday worked with the weekenders. was pretty grumpy again which sucked. money shit was getting me down. came home after and hung out with tobin, higginson and dina. tobin cooked vegan burritos and we played never have i ever with wine which was pretty fun. i felt a lot better about everything after friday's hangouts

yesterday stu and matt were in charge so work was a lot more chilled out. got some shit to do with travel expenses etc sorted out as well so i felt better about that. got to listen to the new lady sov album really LOUD when we did new release after close as well. oh and we closed early and got out at 7 which was RAD.

after work ross texted me and was like "i wanted you to invite me to yours" and i was like fuck it ok, then he rang me and said he should go home, and i was like shutup let's go for a drink. he was smashed cus he had been out on a stag do since 1. we went to kentish town anyway and drank wine and he came to stay again and i think he's nice and i told him so and he said he wasn't. which is also true. he's getting a new flat and a cat and i was angry with him during the week but last night i couldn't have cared less. anyway i took him to kings x this morning and the streets were well quiet due to it being easter. it was eerie.

today i spent all day lying around and eating chilli. i watched rules of attraction which was absolutely full of sex and would have been very frustrating had i watched it at another time which is lucky really. i also watched 4 episodes of darkplace so far. that shit is weird. it was my first day off in 11 days but unless i sleep loads tonight i don't think i'll be too refreshed tomorrow.

things have been nonstop mental. the day i last updated i mainly spent napping and hanging out with the tobe. the goldie hoez went to a cheap curry place on hornsey rd. it was a bit shit but for £3.75 inc rice you can't complain.

anyway the tuesday i had a job interview at city that went a bit shit as i didn't really know what it entailed, safe so say i didn't get it haha. was a bit of an ordeal.

wednesday i was working at enfield again then han came up in the evening and we stuffed our cake holes in camden then went central for some booze. i stuffed it even harder whilst there

friday at enfield again, another looong day. in the evening we had some dudes over for drinks and laughs, which was cool.

saturday was canary good times. after work i went to kelly's and watched an entire series of i.t crowd one after another. ross is actually douglas. scary

sunday was work where people kept offering free stuff including a haircut which i need. then i went and ate lots of curry and saw joey cape but i was so tired i just wanted to sleep

monday i spent 11.5 hours at enfield which was just mental.

tuesday the md's came to visit which was yawwnnzzzz

wednesday i had a day off so i slept late. then i wandered around london a bit to see what the crack was. the crack was that stop the war do lame protests and the police won't let you near the good ones.

then i went to meet kelly from work and ryan and ross decided to come to the pub with us for 'a drink'. about 6 pints later i struggled to find my way home amongst throngs of england supporters

got about 5 hours sleep and felt haggard as fuck for work yesterday. met alf in the pub after though which was loads of fun

today was meant to be reviewing the jaya the cat gig at underworld but hours of till has melted my brain so i'm gonna make up an excuse for why i didn't show. cotched here instead

my internet keeps fucking up and it's angering me quite a lot. boo.

breakfast with my dad yesterday turned into all day hangouts. but everything good is shut on a monday. we went to cafe diana (obvs) for yums. then went to holloway for a bit. decided to jump on a bus to holborn to go to the hunterian museum but it's shut on a monday. so went up to euston to the wellcome collection but their exhibits are shut on a monday too. so we just ate carrot soup.

then we went to the british library and because the taking liberties thing had shut last weekend there isn't a new one yet so there's only this boring darwin exhib and the 'mnanky old bits of paper and books' collection. that was ok though. there was lennon and lenin, and the magna carta which is a load of old shit isn't it.

then we went to the hideaway for some pints and a shit chat. that was cool. i wanted to go for crispy duck but he had to go home. the bastard.

anyway then i came home and made a bit of a slip up and i'm not entirely sure how i feel about it so far.

this afternoon i went to crouch end (pronounce with a french accent) to pay off a bit of credit card and get some shit i needed. apparently i might be going for a pint with higgo later. we'll see how that goes...

gonna bust out an update before shit gets OUT OF HAND.

monday evening i went to the hideaway and sat there for a while just reading and writing. felt like a grown up because i had a tab on my card. later to find out that tab pushed me over my (newly lowered) credit limit. LOL. ate peanuts and crisps.

tuesday i got spotify and fring and totally geeked out on the both of them. the internet and music had both been getting stagnant and these are both incredible revelations. i also went to chris murray/squab/skints/gecko at underworld. such a good gig.

wednesday went to camden with kathers and bummed around and watched her shop. i'm always the boyfriend who stands outside the changing room with her bag. then we went to big red for yum nachos. went to max's and he gave me an internet cable and a brush off. met sibs in crouch end and walked to finsbury park to find a shop. got shit faced.

thursday can't remember what i did. not much i guess. had some good phonecalls though.

friday had job interview at the job centre in aldgate. went quite well i think. i mean, i may not be the most experienced person but i didn't get nervous and i got on with one of the two interviewers really well.

then just chilled out all day and spoke to hotknives. went to rach's house in the evening for her housewarming. saw a boy on the bus i thought was going to the party and wished he had. he so nearly walked to the right door.

also managed to get a lot of boring stuff done this week like tax forms and job applications but you don't want to read about that.

yesterday had work which was chill. then went to deptford for the vic eviction. saw some good band followed by tarantism. they got cut off due to police arriving. there was a scuffle and barricades and a chopped and the pigs didn't fuck off for about 2 hours. during which time i nearly pissed myself and hotknives jammed some rad shit with this dude.

eventually at about midnight inner terrestrials played which was shitting amazing. love them so much. the sound was amazing by the way, and it was on a stage outside. such a good gig. then restarts played but i wasn't bothered and wanted to go home a bit. at about 1.30 i left and got home by 2.30 which is good stuff. slept a bit then work today where i was shitter than usual which was a shame because i was meant to be training. afternoon was better. discounted veg and houmous sandwiches YUM

tomorrow gonna see my old man for breakfast, yay free food

week is shaping up to be boring unless i get offered tons of rad jobs. mark thomas on thurs, bonus. reviewing and maybe interviewing apparently. ummm....suggested questions if it comes to the crunch? i think i destroyed all the ones i had previously written in some kind of voodoo ritual

ok so i went to the crap work on tuesday and the manager said "don't bother coming in for the rest of the week, it's a waste of time, but i'll pay you til friday." i dunno how true that is, but i ran away before he could change his mind. spent the rest of the day chillaxing and making pancakes and feeling a bit ill.

weds i couldn't be bothered to go to the education demo which was a shame. but i went to camden and sorted out all kinds of admin shit as well so that was cool. can't remember what else i did. i made green curry though. yum.

thurs i went to post some cake to harri and luke. bumped into pj in the post office so we hung out for a bit, that was really cool. went to m+s to hand in uniform. also went to hmv moorgate which is pretty cool. then went to laura's to chillax and eat her bread for a bit. eventually pootled home and did not a lot except for dying my hands pink.

friday chris came back from reading and said he wanted to swap rooms so we did. so now i'm in the box room. but i have a nice view of the garden. don't think i really like it but i'm gonna give it a go because i don't have much choice. in the evening i went to reel big fish + suburban legends + random hand. had a genuinely awesome time, even though it was totally low key. haven't seen/heard suburban legends in so long.

saturday went to work which was AWESOME as ever. had lots of fun with kicka which was cool. also said bye to vince as he's going to asia for 2-3 weeks. in the evening chris had some dudes over for his birthday so i ate coco pops and hung out.

sunday work was AWESOME yet again. i did reps for the first time since being back and actually enjoyed it, and did chart shit and re-stickering and alllll that. went for MASSIVE chinese with tommy in the evening to celebrate our veganism's 2nd birthday. <3 peking palace. really want to have their crispy duck + pancakes sometime soon.

today hasn't been as productive as i'd hoped when i wrote my list of stuff to do. i've done none of it yet. i don't have much optimism about the rest of the day being better. i know i should be getting some paid work as well, but i can't be bothered. wanker.

however i did look at a load of pictures i'd never brought myself to check out on facebook. and wished i'd done it before because it makes everything a bit simpler. just gotta remember it all in the future rather than being a dickhead all my life.

then i went to canary wharf and signed my new contract
went for a drink with ross and his old manager, then went for massive indian veg feast

wednesday
worked 2-10 which was slightly better than 3-11

thursday
worked 8-4 which was much better than 3-11
went to see hotknives and sat in cafe in kings x for 4 hours chatting shit
i got a letter saying i have an interview for the dole job at the start of march

friday
i handed in my notice to m+s. yay
my mum came up to london and we went shopping and hung out and had drinks

saturday
i pulled a sicky at m+s and went to work at hmv. enjoyed the shit out of it
went to housmans for folky punky goodness
went to big red for booze and drunken conversations

sunday
went to work at the good place again and rocked that shit
ryan said he would treat me to 'a pint' in dalston. 6 pints later i stumbled home

today
went to the library for a bit. bought PANCAKE ingredients. got swimming pool info
made curry and fridge cake. had laura round to eat it. yumyum

now have 4 days of bad work before fun weekend of nice work

did pretty much nothing thursday except go to work. got there an hour early so read my book. got into it now.

friday went to the shops and laura's, still got to work early. idiot. not as early this time though. work is fucking COLD. i've never been so happy the weather's getting warmer.

yesterday went and met harri in russell squ. we went for some drinks in the angel tcr. saw journo laura which was cool, i guess she's living there again now. convinced harri to stay. went to v&m for burgers. eating's not cheating. then met vince, nic and his lady lizzy in the hideaway. it's awesome. got beered. went for peking palace. came home and watched skins.

awesome valentine's day.

today was hungover but cooked epic breakfast harri + jas style. stuffed it. did not a lot else. just tidied my room. had a nice weekend, not looking forward to work tomorrow. want the dole job.

didn't sleep much monday night. so 7-3 shift at work was painful yesterday. 8 hours of till. then i came home and had the best nap. ad came up and we went to see bomb the music industry, dave house, and sam russo at windmill. awesome. hangouts with many good dudes.

today i skived work and went for a civil service written exam thing. did alright, want to go to interview and get a new job NOW please. went to canary wharf and bought spaced afterwards. then went and had a haircut and bought all the bread in the world.

why are boys so loud? chris is doing bass/trumpet practice and vince is doing his puffy exercises. also, why do people always tell me to do things when i never ask other people to do stuff?

i'm trying to stay up late tonight so i can hack work 3-11 tomorrow.

saturday i can't remember what i did really. i know i didn't go dancing at bloomsbury lanes and instead went and sat in laura's house and drank half a bottle of port

sunday me and tommy missioned it to saaafsea. we bumped into adam and his girlfriend on the train which was awesome. drank more port, merrydown, and beer. booze ftw. watched chillerton and kelly and southport. strategically missed the other rubbish band. froze our tits off. stayed at my rents house which was chill

monday we went for cocktails and ken's amazing 1/2 pounder veggie burger. hung out at harri's and drank more merrydown. found out that gaslight was cancelled due to snow (major SUCK) and that trains were also cancelled for the same reason. however, managed to mission it back to london fuelled by lots more cider, and went and made snowmen on the southbank which was pretty magical

tuesday ross came over and we hung out all day. then i moped around all evening and managed to miss the entire last hours webchat because i was on the phone to morgan

wednesday i had my induction day for m+s food. it was just boring paperwork and health and safety tests. yawn. i told ross i can't see him anymore and we had a good phonecall about it all. cue more moping

thursday i sorted out some benefits stuff and dicked about in camden. also went to see laura. in the evening went to fire in vauxhall for the king blues big issue tour thing. it was lols. really good sound though, best i've seen them in ages

friday i went to work at inspiral where chris works. i chopped a lot of veg and ate free food. the dirty rev gig was cancelled due to snow so i just sat at home drinking wine and watching attenborough dvds. awesome

saturday i worked at inspiral again. went to see rach afterwards and hung out for a little bit in her house. went down kingston after and met everyone in spoons. drank the beer. went to see polar bear club at the cocks and basically just got battered off my face

sunday i made loads of roast dinner and ate it all. sat around and watched dylan moran and sublime live. did boring things. went to ryan's bar in the evening which was AWESOME. squab are literally the best band ever. clayton blizzard is an amazing human. can't wait til next time

today had my first day at m+s liverpool street. was on the till nearly all day so it could have been worse. some guy looked like he was dying on the floor when i went to get my bus. weird

tuesday i was too lazy/poor to go out to lou's birthday. i suck

wednesday i tried to sort out some housing benefit stuff which didn't go too smoothly. in the evening me and vince went to cut ups album release show at purple turtle. pine hill haints didn't play so hardly anyone came, which was a shame, and i thought the apostates were kind of sucky. but apologies and cut ups were wicked. got to have mad hangz with some really good dudes as well.

yesterday i did next to nothing as i got up late. we had goldie ho quality housemate time. soup hoez fo lyf. we did a big tesco order together. then i went to the cross kings with ross and drank a lot of beers which i mainly did not pay for. there was a band with a fat bill bailey singing. unfortunately i forgot eating is not cheating and was fucking drizzunk and missed the ryan's bar gig. ah well

today i was hungover for a really long time. tried to sort out more benefits stuff. went and bought a big dish and made a lasagne. my life is so INTERESTING.

however i also got offered a job which means no more boredom, more money, and SOUTHSEA THIS WEEKEND. these are all good things.

i might go to rach's house tonight if i can be bothered, but i don't know if i can. tit.

today i woke up at 9.30am and decided there was no point in me getting up despite being very much awake, as i had nothing to do today and all i would do is get bored and eat food if i got up. so i went back to sleep until about 1.30pm. being jobless sucks. i am beginning to feel totally unmotivated. i did ALL the washing up in the house today and watched half the sublime live dvd which is awesome. i'm saving the other half for later. i need to do some reviews today, and apply for some jobs. i need to go to the library sometime but i am saving that to do tomorrow. so so bored.

at least tomorrow it's pine hill haints/apologies/cut ups.

i have been listening to the new broadway calls cd as i gotta review it, and i can't believe how poignant the song 'bad intentions' is.

FRIDAY i went to kingston for apologies, the cut ups, the computers, and serf combat at the fighting cocks. missed serf combat which sucked, but got drunk and had fun

SATURDAY i went to rach's house for birthday fun. i was meant to be going to roxy as well but i was feeling a bit ill and couldn't really afford it so lamed out

SUNDAY i got a lift with them apologies boys to brighton to their gig with bangers (BANGERS!!), serf combat and break the habit. it was tommy's birthday and sarah drove kelly, ben and el down. which was just awesome. also sebby was particularly drunk which made for funny viewing. i was sober for once but you wouldn't have been able to tell

MONDAY i had ross over and cooked soup and watched blackadder.

in the evening i went to laura's house and drank port. for no reason other than port is awesome

TUESDAY i went to the camden agency and then went to sign on. they are literally all cunts at the job centre.

WEDNESDAY i had a job interview for the m+s job in euston. actually managed to get in this time.

han came up in the evening and everyone came over for pot luck. there was so much good food involved, and loads of good dudes. i had a few brews and ate about 4 plates full of savoury stuff before loads of cake and other dessert. amazing

THURSDAY me and han went to central and literally walked around all day. had food at ben crouch then milkshake from v&m (and saw fucking GRAHAM LINEHAN on greek st...he literally walked out of a cafe and was stood right next to me...and was talking in his lovely irish voice...so cool), walked from covent garden to bond st, hung out in hamleys, then back to ben crouch for booze

FRIDAY i went for a final interview with the m+s people...will find out how that went soon, i guess

got in a car with those apologies dudes again and went to dorktown for a gig with them and serf combat. so so much fun. got hammered and let paul black tax do his first ever tattoo on me. we stayed in hotel rooms upstairs

SATURDAY we went to alf's house in the middle of the countryside and met his mum and dog. ate the BIGGEST breakfast ever...bloody love food communism...and then watched them play guitar hero

then got back in the car and headed to MOTHERFUCKIN SOUTHSEA for southsea diy's first birthday. met my mum for curry. heard lots of good music, hung out with people i've missed a lot, sang along LOUD, and played the biggest round of 'apologies, i have fun' i've ever experienced. and watched cow and chicken, of course.

SUNDAY i woke up in harri's bed a little confused. cooked up another epic breakfast with her. hung out and watched peep show and half a weird movie

went to my parents house and cooked a cake with my dad. had a generally nice time. cuddled doggles a lot

got back to london for pj's show at the cross kings. saw the drunk french dudes who slept in my house last time. saw neil sutherland and 'friends'. hung out. felt tired

TODAY i did nothing i needed to do. and i've got a bunch of stuff i need to do. my lack of productivity doesn't even surprise me any more.

definitely finding it hard to adjust after tour. haha. blaaahhhhhh

my mum came to visit on tuesday. we hung out all over london. she met troll and pasty. we ate at v & e. it's awesome.

yesterday i wandered around and half arsed looked for a job. got distracted a lot. tommy came over and we made truffles and soup. bev came over. watched blackadder and got drunk. went to nasin and got smashed and danced and sang.

today woke up to bev and tommy. was v hungover. went to uni and picked up portfolio. got distracted from looking for jobs again. went to friends meeting house for a palestine solidarity rally. saw mr benn and ol' tariq. went to big red and shot the shit with kathers.

was all quite cathartic but i needed to have done more today. tomorrow i have an interview thingy for an agency. i also need to do my online assessment for reed. and i reckon the dss is gonna ring me up for my dole interview. and i need to sort out the gas and electric. hectic.

oh also i found £20 on the floor today, just after i'd found out i had no money in either bank account. FATE.

fucking hell. longest lj holiday EVER. this is probably the first time i've sat at a proper computer for more than 5 minutes since my last entry, which is kind of crazy. so i am gonna update proper quick as to not waste my life and yours.

went to hhn xmas gig, got smizzashed

went to southcoast, picked up all my shit and moved it into my new house

had to deal with loads of broken shit in new house

worked at hmv practically every day for 5 weeks, finished this weekend. had an amazing time

got a stupid crush and did stupid things

found out the austrian got with 12o5 after she split with tobin

saw streetlight manifesto and discarded my face somewhere during 'it's a wonderful life'

applied for a job. should have applied for more.

got really really sick for 3 days. then was still really sick for another 3 days but worked anyway

spent xmas at the horn with kim and paul. chilled my boots. watched flight of the navigator

got smashed for free at the work leaving drinks, got a rail replacement boat, and went to the o2 for the first time since it's shiny and new

had a new year's party at the flat and woke up to lots of people in my room. just like the old days

saw povey and eran and got wasted on cider before getting naked for vince

went to rach's new house and liked it

probably did a bunch more stuff i've forgotten

altogether, i haven't done loads but it's been fucking intense with work. but now i am free and also wage free. booooo.

ok weds i sorted out a few bits of shit i needed to do, like setting up rent standing order etc. then i went to meet dan and mikey and his girlfriend in central before they went to coheed. then i went to jimmy's birthday drinks and was amused at the state liam was in. then i went to laura's to decorate and watch muppet xmas carol and that was rad. i made snowflakes and ate stupid amounts of mince pies.

thursday i did other stuff i don't remember. mainly i just went to work and felt ill i think.

friday i felt WELL ill in the morning. anyway went to sebby's to pick up his gaslight ticket as he was too sick to go, then i went to the estate agents office but he wasn't there as he's a KNOBBER. then i went to peking palace for gaby's birthday lunch and there was actually a lot more good people than i expected there. and the tarka dahl was lush. this was my YES I'M MOVING BACK TO ARCHWAY!!!!!! #1 experience of the day (along with passing cafe diana on the way there).

anyway had to cut the radness short to go to work. but work was ok and i spent the last hour literally sat on my arse doing NOTHING in the office. this is my kind of job haha. i wrote my own reference in an email from hmv to the estate agent, omitting and including whatever i wanted, chatted shit about the work xmas drinks, and just 'witnessed' ross doing the tills. so rad.

anyway headed to gaslight and got there in time to see an hour of their set. bumped into loads of rad dudes i haven't seen in yonks like fruitbag, lil, jimbay, ash (who's moving to finsbury park), alex (who just moved to finsbury park), tim, panda and others. i also saw black tax and chaddock. this was my YES I'M MOVING BACK TO ARCHWAY!!!!!! #2 experience of the day, and was even better than the first one. they are up for mad hangouts and it turns out chaddock lives about 2 mins from my new flat. he lives on cardinals way which was the road that liam's house was on the corner of when i lived there. so rad.

anyway then i got a few hours sleep before work today and i think it actually did me some good having less sleep. i didn't have a temperature today, and i felt well in tune with work all day which was a first. i didn't make a major fuck up on the tills once, and i helped loads of customers out. i am getting used to their stupid generic questions now.

blagged off work early and RAN through all the tube changeovers to get to estate agents but he'd already fucked off. but i went into the bar next door and the barman had my house contract and keys haha. so now i have my keys. which is amazing news. tomorrow i breakfast with vince and then visit new house. then i work and do household name xmas. good bloody times.

today i got squashed in the tube doors for the first time ever, which after living here almost 3.5 years is pretty good i think. i didn't jip like i thought i would, just wriggled free and resumed a cool "whatever" stance......or what i thought resembled a cool "whatever" stance.

ok so what a difference a week makes.

on wednesday hussey was driving kelly and L to basingstoke for a gig in a pub so i got into the BIGGEST VAN EVER and went with them. on the way i got a call saying i had a job interview on thurs morning in london but i figured i'd just stay out all night anyway and drink wine. it was warm in the pub and fun to hang out with the dudes and watch people eat steaks of these hot plate things. when we got back to pompey me and L went to ken's, then to fij's house where harri was having a bit of a fit about a prison she had visited. anyway the rest of us watched the future is unwritten which was pretty good but just reminded me of all the london punks who have exactly the same problems now when they think they're signing big and get ideas above their station ahem. anyway then L wanted to chat loads when we got back which was totally cool as she's got shit on her plate and i was just glad she was spilling some of it, cathartic and that innit. but all of this meant i only got about 4 hours sleep then had to get up and mission it to my job interview.

anyway the 'interview' was less of an interview and just kind of them telling me what my hours would be etc, and i got the job. it's in hmv in a shopping centre underneath the canary wharf tower, which is totally sweet. so i had to come back south to collect clothes and stuff that afternoon, then mission it back in the evening because my first shift was on friday morning.

friday night i had to mission again to aisha's house (there has been a lot of missioning) in tottenham. it's cool here, she's letting me crash for a week and i have my own room. except it is a bit cold. like, last night, i slept in 2 sleeping bags, a hoodie, my woolly hat, socks, a duvet and full pyjamas. brrrr.

saturday night i went to 12 bar for davey's birthday. i originally was gonna get drunk as i had no work on sunday, but then i thought "no i'll save my money and get the last tube home". anyway neil and tommy turned up so i went and bought a can of white star and everything just escalated. i ended up spending loads of cash, drinking loads of cider and beer, and not leaving until about 3.30am. i got to see jakal who were ace, punchpuppet, griswalds and blankheads. totally london and rad. but then i ended up not going home and i went to stay at someone else's house. and i felt a bit weird about it because of the austrian. and then when i got back to aisha's the next day it turned out the austrian had left me a myspace comment like in the middle of the night before which made me feel even weirder. but to be fair it was him who said he didn't want a long distance thing anyway. in conclusion: i am stupid.

monday my mum came up and we went to the estate agents and sorted out a bit of house stuff. i need to sort some more out today. basically we decided to go for the house we viewed in archway because vince didn't want to live in manor house and i didn't want to live in finchley. it's pretty good, i think we are moving in on sunday. exciting. i can't wait to move my shit in and buy loads of food.

anyway i have too many things to do this week and they are all confusing me. i still haven't figured out how to rectify my being raped for tax. everyone keeps telling me different things. i also have to find time to apply for this job in highgate, but i just looked at the application and think i will leave it until monday.

yesterday i did boring things then went to brighton. i saw isy and mikey and that guy whose name i can't remember who came to king blues video filming at our old old house, and also jacob who is lovely. me & goliath played, who i didn't think were too great, and plague mass played, who i enjoyed more than last time i saw them.

captain hotknives sent me a present by austrian courier and i listened to it in an austrian van. i spent most of the evening chatting austrians but i only kissed one of them. i am going to miss him. but we did hang and listen to babar and he walked me to the station so it could have been worse. it could have been better, though, if his band hadn't decided to go to france at like 2am instead of staying the night. he might come and visit in january. i hope so because his next tour is in like....may. rubbish.

in other news, my phone is being a fass, so if i don't reply to a text for ages it's probably because it hasn't told me i've got one.

in other news: shit has been RAD.

on monday i convinced my mum i needed a haircut due to l setting light to my hair at the pub and graduation looming, so that took up most of monday. in the evening i decided to conserve cash and chillax at home.

tuesday i went to londontown and sat on a balcony overlooking waterloo station and watched the commuting ants. then i went to kingston and met lots of suspicious-looking austrians. after a bit i headed back londonwards to rowan's bowl to celebrate the day of laura's birth. we ate and drank and bowled and pooled and were merry. it was good to see dudes i don't get to see very often. afterwards i went to whitechapel for more austrian fun. including uno and white ace. mmmm.

i only got in from tuesday night at about 9am wednesday, so that day was pretty much a write-off. i felt like sleepy crap. in the evening me, vince and chris went to view flats, but had no luck. jim got me into a gig at the gaff for free so i went. it was awesome, i got to see newtown kings and dirty revolution, and see yet more people i don't see very often. the gaff (the place that used to be the old king's head on holloway road) is freakin sweet as well, the sound is awesome. the skints played too, but i left before they came on and went back to peej and gab's for crumpets.

thursday i meant to job hunt but did not do much of this. i did apply for a job at hmv, though. in the evening we went to view another flat in archway but couldn't agree on it either. rubbbbish.

friday morning i graduated, which was actually hella more awesome than i expected. my dad said he was proud of me and stuff, and my brother even came and had a good time. i got to see liam, jimmy, marius, alex, raj, ross and others who i hadn't seen since exams. was gutted because none of our lecturers came, though, and there was no mass boozy journo celebrations because everyones' families were there. so just went for lunch with the olds and took my mum to the museum of london after that.

friday evening i got my train on and went to pompey. it was an awesome decision. i got really really smashed and watched livi, jay's new band break the habit, and livers and lungs debut show. i also saw screwed up flyer and the quarry, but was too drunk to appreciate anything by that point (and also i don't really think they were my cup). lots of boozed up texting and calling ensued. we also had a lock-in at the fawcett and i drank more beer which wasn't the greatest idea, and chrissy dubs demonstrated his impressive drinking stamina.

woke up saturday morning in pompey feeling like i needed more sleep, so went and napped at casa parents. then got my train on yet again back to london for laura's birthday fun mk 2. this was much messier fun. went to housmans bookshop in kings cross for the no sweat benefit, and drank 2 litres of wine and a beer. mmm. watched the most awesome of music: craig, pj and gaby, livers and lungs, clayton blizzard and itch. sang a lot, laughed even more, leaned on a wall because i thought i might fall over. then we all went to big red where i chatted shit a lot with some safe as fuck dudes.

sunday woke up feeling pretty special, but not hungover which was a nice surprise. watched some family guy then headed south once more to harri and fij's where i ate soup. then me and fij went to the fat fox where fish don't bounce, l and kelly were playing. tim was also there so there was yet more impromptu livers and lungs. i enjoyed a tipple of cider and managed to tear myself away to get the last train home to my lovely bed.

today i went to manpower but they said there's no jobs gwanin. i also went to the bank which is looking quite sick right now. blerg. i am fully in limbo right now. my dad is getting at me to get a job, but i don't want one down here. i am gonna be applying for some different ones in london this week but i am beginning to doubt if it's a good idea as i dunno whether me and vince will ever find or agree on a house to get....
